Photo Essay Response

1.) I looked at the  Look Inside A Public Boarding School  article. 2.) The photos are taken from many different angles, most of which show the subject not looking directly at the camera. 3.) The photographs evoke happiness with many photos looking like the students are enjoying the programs and the structure of it. 4.) The story being told is that despite the descriptions of rigorous learning with only a few selective electives available, the students don't take their education for granted or look like they are disliking the process. 5.) One sentence can describe the entire photo because once you get a small amount of context about an image you can piece together just by looking at it, what is happening there.

Framing Photos

FLOWERS ON THE WINDOW Yes I did create a strong composition. I did edit the photo well by brightening it and making the colors more vivid. I would try to get focus on the background. LOOK BACK AT MY MIRROR Yes I did create a strong composition. I did edit the photo well by brightening it and cropping the right areas. I would try to decrease the sun shining behind the mirror. A LOOK THROUGH THE WINDOW I created a decent composition. I edited the photo well by cropping it and brightening the photo. I would try to get more focus on the background behind the photo and less of the window itself.

How much does Becca sleep outdoors? Is that appealing to you, why/why not? 242 days or 8 months out of the year. It's not really appealing to me because camping is fun, but camping for 8 months does not sound fun. How was Becca able to do her first 2 photo shoots - where did she get the money? A grant from the University of Wyoming and a National Geographic Young Explorer grant. How did she get her first paying freelance job? A fly fishing company  found her through her instagram. How many complications did Becca and Claire run into with their Panama Trip? They had three complications on their Panama Trip. How do you deal with complications, are you a good problem solver, why/why not? I think I am a good problem solver because I always stay calm even when I'm in a situation where it doesn't go as planned. I always take it one step at a time because if you try to take all of it in at once then it's going to be too overwhelming.
